Core Subjects

Coronary anatomy, normal variants, coronary artery disease
Equipment: catheters, guiding catheters and guidewires.
Different types and shapes for different purposes.
Anatomies and locations.
Common problems encountered during catheterisation
Introduction to the simulator: hardware and software, advantages, disadvantages and limitations
Access site and post procedure management including access closure
The course will be preceded by the first meeting of the Maltese Cardiac Society (21-22 January 2010). Separate payments for both.
